Job Title:  Electronic Technician/Solderer

JOB FUNCTION:

Support electronics production by calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting electronic circuitry.  Work with engineering to improve products and processes.  Evaluate and repair product returning for overhaul and warranty.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and conduct preliminary tests to verify functionality and perform calibration of electronic assemblies. 
• Use electronic test equipment and soldering tools to troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
• Record data and notes of any findings, which may improve future product or processes.
• Provides product support for existing products, including the improvement and development of products and modifications to create better functioning products.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Education with emphasis in electronics; and one to three year’s previous industry related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Electronics and soldering certification preferred.

SKILLS:

• Ability to read and understand blue prints and specifications. Ability to write procedures, routine reports and correspondence.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to operate the software and equipment used in the department, including but not limited to power tools and hand tools, soldering tools, and computer software such as Microsoft Office products. 
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
