Job Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist (m/f/d) will be required to deal with customers questions, queries, enquiries by telephone and email and ensure customers receive prompt and efficient response to their sales orders. Prepare quotations for customers, and providing these on time, and accurately, and ensuring all quotations are followed up with the customer, with a view to convert these to a sales order, predominantly with the Sales Managers and Sales Application Managers in terms of supporting the order processing of sales, customer service on key accounts coupled with data analytics to understand customer buying trends. The position holder will report to the BU Business Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dealing with customers questions, queries, enquiries by telephone and email and ensuring Customers receive prompt and efficient response to their sales orders.
  • Preparing quotations for customers, and providing these on time, and accurately, and ensuring all quotations are followed up with the customer, with a view to converting these to a sales order.
  • Process orders received via e-mail from customers, confirming receipt and check it is AMETEK/SOX Compliant. This will include interfacing with the Finance department for managing proper bill decisions.
  • Review new orders for completion.  This includes validating billing and shipping information, payment terms, part number accuracy, etc. 
  • Review service contracts on Sales Force with Sales Engineers, as needed.
  • Raise commercial invoices for Logistics and manage export/freight requirements, as needed.
  • Preparing and managing purchase orders for suppliers.
  • Work with Director of Sales and Sales Application Managers to maintain customer information on RMA’s and testing equipment.
  • Support customers by scheduling engineering meetings with customers and documenting enquiries and information for service activities, when required.
  • Manage customer and company expectations for re-stock of goods and customer deliveries interfacing with “Service Support & Logistics Coordinator”
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience

  • 5 to 10 years commercial experience and knowledge.
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of order entry and general familiarity with contracts and commercial processes.
  • Proven experience in similar position in an international work environment.
  • Fluent English and German verbal and written
  • Microsoft office software knowledge – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • CRM software experience (Salesforce preferable).
  • Microsoft Navision or similar ERP experience.
