Zygo Corporation is looking for an experienced and result-orientated European Sales Manager to drive our growth across multiple markets in Europe.
The position will be located at one of AMETEK European facilities and can be home office based. This position reports to the DVP Sales, partnering with local sales leadership to create and execute strategy, develop growth plans and budgets, provide sales forecasts for operational and financial planning.
- Develop a strategic and tactical plan to deliver strong growth across Europe
- Working with indirect and direct sales channels to deliver growth in line with assigned targets
- Review, investigate and develop new Distributors in relevant growth countries.
- Work closely with the Metrology and Optical Systems Divisions to develop sales strategies that deliver growth for all product lines
- Have a strong ability to build relationships within the Zygo organization
- Communicate Zygo’s complete solution capability and in which Applications and Markets directly to customers or in support of channel partners
- Define and Manage the Distributors Agreements to balance top line growth with profitable growth.
- Manage pricing and discounting to balance growth and achieve profitable growth.
- Champion Key Account relationships within key markets including Semicon, Aero, Defense, Consumer Electronics and precision engineering markets.
- Report and provide formal feedback to DVP Sales on performance within the region. Provide sales forecasts and updates using CRM on a regular basis
- Cooperate with the Zygo marketing Department in order to forward crucial information with reference to Markets, the Competition (products, prices) and the customer requirements
- Coordinate work with Service team Leadership to ensure that not only World Class Customer Service level delivered coupled with strong revenue growth
- Continually looking to improve commercial efficiency
Sales Experience
Solid Experience (5-10years) in sales management of a direct and / or indirect sales channel in a Technical Field.
National and International Sales Experience
Knowledge and experience within the Optics, Semicon, Defense, Aerospace, Medical and Automotive industry
Technical Experience
Background within a technical specialty, preferred Engineering Qualification (bachelor’s degree), Metrology experience within precision engineering market and the understanding of technical drawings
Communication Skills
Strong ability to communicate to sales, engineering and management Networks of Distributors on all levels (internal and external)
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.

Lead by example by demonstrating flexibility, tenacity and drive in delivering objectives and ability to motivate others to do the same
Knowledge and experience implementing best sales practices and tools
Travel
Be comfortable with travelling - up to 50%
Team Player
Can integrate into and work with the existing sales team.
