Vision Research is a Business Unit in the Materials Analysis Division of AMETEK, Inc. Vision Research manufactures industry leading high-speed digital cameras. Our cameras are primarily sold into industrial, academic, defense and government research facilities. We also have a smaller entertainment oriented camera business. Although not our primary focus, Vision Research has received both an Academy Award and an Emmy for our technical contribution to the entertainment industry. Position Summary:

From verbal or written instructions: test, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect electromechanical subassemblies and analog and digital electronic PCBAs to support camera manufacturing. Maintain all test and process equipment used in department.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Specific Duties:

•             Test subassemblies and PCBAs to established test procedures.

•             Complete associated Test Data Sheets and database entries for work performed.

•             Debug and repair electronics subassemblies and PCBAs to the component level.

•             Responsible for quality control. Inspect your own work, inspect work coming to you.

•             Provide assistance and/or resources to help other team members or departments to solve technical problems

 

Education and Qualification:

•             Ten years electronic test/troubleshooting experience in related field

•             Solder skills capable to IPC-A-610

•             Experience debugging and troubleshooting electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and Computer systems including both software and hardware

•             Capable of reading, understanding, and troubleshooting using a schematic, wire diagram, and function block diagram

•             Experience in the use of various electronics test equipment

•             Trained in Lean Manufacturing techniques

•             Understanding of good ESD practices

•             Ability to effectively work in a team environment

•             Must model positive and professional work ethics

•             Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner.

•             Ability to perform technical reading, writing, and math functions

•             Strong PC knowledge

•             Considers the impact to quality when making decisions
