Position Summary:

The HR Generalist I will work as part of a team to deliver exceptional human resources to our customers.  This position will report to the Human Resources Director and will have exposure to the senior management team of AMETEK. 


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:


  • Create and be responsible for the execution of HR standard operating procedures
  • Assist all employees with benefits and HR related issues
  • Full cycle recruiting for positions of all levels as needed
  • Partner with the Senior HR lead to develop, maintain and communicate to employees various HR policies and procedures (including annual review and update of Employee Handbook)
  • Employee relations and coaching initiatives as needed
  • Create training programs and maintain their delivery
  • Ensure compliance and ability to participate in audit of AAP programs, EEOC and OFFCP
  • Support on-boarding programs and creative plans for retention
  • Create and administer surveys
  • Monthly Headcount Reporting and metrics analysis
  • Audit all HR transactions prior to payroll processing
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws for entire organization


Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:


  • Expertise in HR Law National, including the ability to create and write policies
  • Strong understanding of AAP, EEOC and OFFCP practices, requirements and audit management
  • Experience in difficult employee relations issues, to include running investigations
  • Background in full cycle recruiting – hiring for all levels of the organization
  • Appreciation for exceptional on-boarding programs and creative plans for retention
  • Experience creating training programs and maintaining their delivery
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (extensive spreadsheet work is done in our HR department)
  • Professional demeanor


Job Requirements:


  • 3-5 years at a generalist level
  • PHR/SPHR preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or similar field
