Job Description: 

The Project Manager is responsible for leading a variety of key engineering projects from inception to fruition.   You will have to use your knowledge, organizational, collaboration, and leadership skills to encourage and drive productivity for multiple projects, and course-adjust as necessary.  You will work with various departments to pull together teams, develop budgets, source suppliers, meet safety and quality requirements, and determine manufacturability.


What you will do:

  • Prepare proposals, project scopes, objectives, and detailed project plans for various internal and customer-led projects, collaborating with other departments to ensure feasibility
  • Analyze, recommend, and apply new technologies, parts, materials, and software in collaboration with key colleagues to improve product performance, quality, and profitability
  • Coordinate new designs and product engineering efforts with drafting, marketing, field sales, manufacturing engineering, and general management
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to execute projects, with regular evaluation against project plan to track progress
  • Create systems designed to track and analyze productivity to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget; Course-adjust as necessary while partnering with key colleagues
  • Build project teams, delegate tasks appropriately, and motivate/engage colleagues involved
  • Drive development and modification of test limits and methods that adequately ensure product performance compliance
  • Drive collaboration and innovation
  • Provide product, process, and application engineering analysis and support to customers and manufacturing plants for our products
  • Complete reporting requirements
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines
  • Other duties may be assigned


What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience in equivalent role; 3+ years of experience in a technical role
  • Demonstrated proficiency in successful project management and sufficient depth of technical expertise
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in an electromechanical manufacturing environment is a plus


Additional Characteristics:

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • May be required to conduct calls with international counterparts
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
