POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The HR Generalist is responsible for performing human resource administrative work and applying business knowledge and human resources expertise to assist the Midwest MRO HR Team in maintaining and enhancing the Human Resources' department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run payroll and complete the associated payroll reporting for our Midwest MRO businesses.
  • Organize training and assist with creating presentations.
  • Job descriptions administration including creating and updating Job Descriptions.
  • Process and administer Workers Comp claims file and manage incident reports and work with local management teams to ensure proper follow-up and communications to avoid future incidents.
  • Coordinate and report safety committee activities for Drake, SAI and B & S.
  • Conduct employee onboarding. Conduct the benefits orientation meetings for all new hires across AMETEK MRO Midwest. Will serve as a central point of contact to go over the general onboarding items. Support HR leadership with several projects as they occur.
  • Administer the Rewards and Recognition Program for the Division; promote it, update the tracking log, etc.
  • Update Employee Handbooks for Tulsa and Wichita.
  • Update Policies and Procedures as needed.
  • Monthly HC administration and tracking of joiners/leavers for Finance requirements.
  • Applicant Tracking System Management - submit, manage and coordinate job requisitions and postings.
  • Schedule and organize interviews for the Midwest MRO group and conduct the interviews for non-exempt positions.
  • Build and run HR reports from the HRIS.
  • Track and promote Employee Referral Program across Midwest MRO.
  • Performance Management tracking and reporting.
  • Assist with co-op programs across Midwest MRO.
  • Assist with BU Employee Newsletter.
  • Answer employee inquiries as they come up.
  • Assist with employee related events.
  • HR clerical and admin work such as filing, scanning, copying, creating employee files, sending files to storage, and other items as assigned.
  • Local project support in Tulsa and Wichita.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in human resources preferred.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • One to two years previous human resource experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and governmental compliance requirements related to compensation, payroll, benefits, and other human resource activities.

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, employee relations and investigations, diversity, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet departmental goals in a fast paced, highly competitive environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment and be a self-starter who works with integrity while also being a strong team player.
  • Must be able to function with minimal supervision and be able to prioritize all work tasks.
  • Ability to maintain composure when facing change or working under pressure.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and trusting working relationships.

Compensation

Salary Minimum:  $50,000
Salary Maximum:  $70,000
