Overview:
NSI-MI Technologies develops electronic equipment used in Automated Microwave Measurement Systems, including Microwave Receivers, Microwave Signal Sources, and Position Control instruments. The high performance demands of these Measurement Systems drive the specifications for each product to extreme precision and accuracy. The role of the Senior Electrical Design Engineer is to support existing electronic products used in system development and to develop new electronic products as required based on customer needs and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design Responsibilities:
- Design electronic circuits, modules, products, and systems to meet product specifications
- Perform product qualification testing and transition to manufacturing
- Develop production test procedures and manufacturing documentation
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales, and customer service
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to develop preliminary product design concepts
- Provide technical guidance and insight as part of a product development team
- Mentor and review the design work of other engineers
Required Skills:
- Design and analyze electronic circuits including digital, FPGA, DC power, and line drivers
- VHDL/Verilog design, simulation, troubleshooting
- Knowledge of basic digital signal processing and implementation techniques
- Design and analyze analog circuits for IF signals up to 100 MHz
- Design A/D converter circuits up to 200 MSPS
- Good understanding of RF systems and RF test concepts
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of test equipment
- Ability to learn quickly, pay attention to detail, and work productively to solve a variety of problems
- Ability to manage one’s own time to meet budgets and schedules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively as part of a team
- Must have the ability to obtain or have a U.S. Government security clearance.
- This position may require occasional domestic and international travel.

- Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (Required)
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (Desirable)
