AMETEK Micro-Poise is currently searching for an Accouting Manager at our Streetsboro, OH, location.  As the Accouting Manager, you will report to the Controller and lead the accounting team while assisting in the preparation of statements, ensuring to follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines.   You will be a key player to the financial processes and financial reporting for AMETEK and Micro-Poise.  Additionally, as the Accounting Manager, you will be critical to  discovering, identifying and preventing discrepancies, collaborating internally and within AMETEK, and driving creation and development internal control systems. As a successful Accouhnting Manager, you will bring strong knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, have a great eye for detail, and be a team player that can lead, coach, and mentor a team effectively while promoting a strong team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager


  • Take ownership of monthly management reporting and analysis package and drives the standardization of reporting metrics across the organization. Includes monthly reporting into corporate and adhering to defined close schedule.  Key participant in quarterly reporting meetings and preparation of financial packages for Corporate FP&A.
  • Lead the accounting department including manage, develop, and coach the accounting team members.
  • Conduct customer credit assessments and actively participate in Line of Credit recommendations.
  • Ownership in the revenue recognition process, reconciliations, and reporting. 
  • Manage audits of Mirco-Poise financials, as well as internal and external audit requirements and US Sarbanes Oxley-404 (SOX) testing and compliance. Owns quarterly review of all SOX controls.
  • Serve as a contact for external auditors during the annual financial statement audit
  • Assist the Controller in evaluating, improving, and implementing internal controls and promoting standardization across the business.
  • Coordinate the collection and consolidation of all cash forecasting information.
  • Facilitate global daily sales and orders reporting and weekly forecast business review.
  • Works as a business partner to the business/operations/sales/engineer leaders to analyze key business performance metrics. Apply financial expertise and make reccommendations on business decisions and predictive analysis.
  • May provide support on M&A-related activity, including the development of models, business forecasts, and trend analysis to support these opportunities, as needed.


Requirements of the Acounting Manager


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in accounting/finance in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication – listening with understanding, presentation, and leadership skills, proven to lead others and develop talent.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and International Financial Reporting Standards and related regulations
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting, etc.)
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g. HFM), Credit Analysis tools, and ERP systems (e.g. fourth shift)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making competencies; well-organized with the ability to self-manage and prioritize; High degree of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines with effective organizational, stress, and time management skills
