AMETEK Precitech designs and manufactures ultra-precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer-scale surface finishes. Senior Sales Manager China, Precitech - The Senior Sales Manager China has P&L responsibility for business in China and is responsible for ensuring annual business plans are developed and executed. He/she will build and execute the strategy to ensure the achievement of annual sales target and other performance goals and objectives. He/she will build, manage and grow the team in China.


In conjunction with the leaders of R&D, Operations and Finance

 

  • Develops and delivers annual sales plan to support BU organizational strategy and objectives. Timing aligns with BUs’ Annual Operating Plan (AOP) cycle.
  • Achieve budgeted Order & Sales revenue set for China. Drive year-on-year growth.
  • Responsible for identifying and serving existing and new customers. Achieve set targets in terms of new customers and business from new products.
  • Devise and execute marketing activities to strengthen brand awareness, new product introductions and build opportunity funnel.
  • Key and Strategic Account Management. Customer Relationship building at executive level.
  • Report on customer needs and competitive landscape and offerings to management and product marketing staff. Highlight the requirements of local market needs to grow business.
  • Update CRM System (Salesforce) weekly.
  • Submit business forecast regularly and when required.
  • Update management team with weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports when required.
  • Business presentations to management team at sales meetings and when required.
  • Provide market research, pricing analysis, competitive analysis regularly and when required.
  • Business presentations at trade shows, seminars, conferences when required.
  • Follow the special engineering request form and system to request engineering support.
  • Support PTMC pricing strategies and achieve the goals while managing customers expectations and relationships with minimum disruptions.
  • Ensure contracts, business transactions, distribution agreements meet all AMETEK business compliance requirements, regulatory standards, AMETEK policy, and law.
  • Work with other colleagues in China to collaborate and win business for Precitech.
  • Work with other PTMC colleagues to collaborate and win business for PTMC when required.
  • Work with other colleagues in Ultra Precision Technologies division to collaborate and support UPT strategies and win business for UPT when required.
  • Work closely with all supporting staff which includes but not limited to HR, Finance, IT, Admin, Customer Service, Business Development, Marketing, Applications Engineering, Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality, Purchasing etc. to ensure business and team growth.
  • Build, manage and grow the team in China.

 

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or other technical degree; MBA is a plus. Major in Optics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a sales, marketing or business development person in a technology-oriented organization is required.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with high-tech products. Experience with Electro-Optics, Nanotechnology, Ultra-Precision technology is preferred.
  • Sales experience of capital equipment is preferred. Sales experience of Optics products is preferred. Familiar with Optics customers in China and with an already established network is preferred. A proven record of growing the business as a technical sales person is preferred.
  • Understanding of marketing processes and activities such as market research, pricing, marketing communications, competitive analysis is a plus.
  • Highly organized, effective time management, prioritization and follow-up skills is required.
  • A deal closer is a must!
  • Excellent written and verbal executive communication skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Excellent presentations skills in both English and Chinese.
  • Position demands extensive travel within China, oversea travel is required when necessarily.
  • Experienced managing a sales team in China.
