Job Description: 

As a Chemical Metal Cleaner, you will performing diverse duties in the cleaning process of glass to metal seals, electronic components, and all types of hermetic seals. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a variety of cleaning processes such as liquid hone, reverse cleaning, brite dip, boil-out/deglass. 
  • Make up solutions and perform all additions given by the chemist in a timely and precise manner. 
  • Must perform cleaning process tasks with operating knowledge of equipment and machinery utilized within the department. 
  • Responsible for the proper use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, mask, rubber gloves & boots. 
  • Perform assigned duties with little supervision and be a team-player to support the department with special tasks/assignments. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

 

       REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • Must have excellent hand dexterity for repetitive twisting and pressure application involving wrists and hands. 

  • Ability to perform assigned duties in working conditions with constant changes in temperature, wetness, high level of noise, fumes, irritants, gases and chemicals.  

  • Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing 5-10 Lbs. and occasionally up to 50 Lbs. 

  • Push drums up to 400 lbs.

  • Repeated standing, walking and bending. 

  • Must be able to distinguish basic shades/colors. 

  • Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.

  • Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications. 
  • Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
  • General housekeeping as required.
