Job Title:  Pipe Welder/Fabricator

What you will do as a Pipe Welder/Fabricator

Weld efficiently carbon and stainless-steel metals (but could include other alloys) in thickness ranging from .030 and greater.  The welding process is usually GTAW but can include GMAW, FCAW and SMAW processes as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Use of GTAW welding procedures performed in an efficient manner.
• Comfortable setting up and maintaining welding equipment
• Operates equipment and handles material in safe manner, including properly securing all workpieces and assemblies
• Must be able to understand basic fitting to tack parts/assemblies
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Capable of visual inspection, clean up, and repairs of welds, as required
• Cleans or degreases weld joint or workpiece, repairs broken or cracked parts, and fills holes, as needed
• Able to read customer requirements and weld procedures as provided on production orders
• Maintain clean work environment.

Requirements: 

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year previous experience preferred
• Must be able to pass 2” sch 80 6G test
