Job Description: 

We are now looking for an experienced Controlling Manager who will provide leadership, coordination, and direction for Finance and Controlling activities at the MAE level to meet the BU’s and Division’s objectives.  

 

What you will do:

Planning and Budgeting - Assist the Finance Director in the budgeting and planning process. Coordinate the preparation of the plant's budget within the framework of the profit plan, track deviations versus budget, monitor the progress of budgeted and unbudgeted cost reduction activities, and interpret financial information generated by plants’ functions during the month for plant management.

Monitor actual expenses, on a daily, weekly and/or monthly basis, against the budget and against monthly 5th-day forecasts. Manage the analysis of all aspects of variances to recommend required corrections to production and general overhead departments.

Prepare plant rates to ensure accuracy for cost estimating, inventory evaluation, and fair measurement of production performance. Establish frozen standard costs on an individual part number basis and for annual standard cost change.

 

Control and Compliance - Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX objectives ensuring the timely completion of self-testing and posting of required documentation. Drive continuous improvement in all areas related to reporting, control, and compliance. Support Audit management.

 

Financial Reporting - Coordinate the monthly and year-end closing process – US GAAP and investigate unusual numbers generated during closings. Provide timely and effective reporting and analysis of financial information to meet the needs of the commercial business and to comply with monthly reporting requirements. Prepare monthly internal and external reporting packages for the management team.

 

Capex - Review capital appropriation requests for new equipment, tooling, or other capital purchases. Monitor spending against appropriations to trigger supplemental requests.

 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 6-8 years of operating in a financial/controlling position within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including US GAAP and SOX 404 requirements. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP – advanced skills in modules FI-CO
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects; Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Fluent in English and Italian
