Job Description: 

As an Inventory Analyst at TMC, an AMETEK company, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing inventory levels in a manufacturing environment. This position involves analyzing data, implementing inventory control strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and accurate inventory management. The Inventory Analyst contributes to minimizing costs, improving production efficiency, and maintaining optimal stock levels.



Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Analysis:

  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory accuracy, stockouts, and excess inventory.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to forecast demand and adjust inventory levels accordingly.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Generate and analyze regular reports on inventory performance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions and adjustments.
  • Prepare and present inventory-related reports to management as needed.

Cycle Counting and Auditing:

  • Develop and implement cycle counting programs to ensure the accuracy of on-hand inventory.
  • Perform regular physical inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve root causes of inventory discrepancies.

Replenishment Planning:

  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to establish optimal inventory levels based on production schedules and demand forecasts.
  • Implement replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
  • Optimize reorder points and safety stock levels for critical items.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory control procedures.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency of inventory management processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and minimize lead times.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Communicate regularly with production, procurement, and logistics teams to align inventory management with production plans.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize inventory-related processes.
  • Collaborate with quality control to address and resolve issues related to inventory accuracy.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in supply chain management or a related field in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with supply chain management software is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data to make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with Advance Excel, Power Bi is plus
