Job Title: Staff Accountant 1

POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant work in the Finance department and performs a variety of duties such as maintaining the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, preparing financial reports, processing payroll, assisting with audits and budgeting processes, and reconciling accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial closing related tasks such as preparation of journal entries, generating reports from ERP system, special report creation, uploading supplemental data to corporate
- Daily Cash/bank reconciliation and intercompany account reconciliation
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliation with supporting documentation
- Fixed Asset management in FAS System and open CAPEX management
- Biweekly payroll journal processing
- Supporting quarterly SOX requirement by uploading required documentations to SOX database
- Assist in product costing: standard cost roll up, review of PPV, review of WO and variances, annual inventory physical count
- Support annual internal audit by preparing the required documents and data pulling
- Monthly use tax filing
- Annual Personal Property tax filing
- Support annual corporate tax filing by pulling data required
- Back up support for cash posting and customer invoicing
- Special projects as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2-4 years applicable experience or equivalent experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to perform routine responsibilities with minimal direction.
• Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels within the organization and with those from other cultures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working with ERP system
• Ability to write database queries
• Previous ADP / Time Saver experience
• Intermediate – Advanced Excel knowledge

- This position would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand.

Salary Range:
The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $70,000 to $78,600. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
