The Product Manager (PM) is the subject matter expert in defense and industrial applications related to the business product portfolio (rugged UPS, battery chargers). He/she acts as an internal advocate for the customer and the field sales force, while developing and executing a strategic product life cycle from initial concept/inquiry through full production. 

The position must own the strategic vision for the product line and drive to make the vision a reality. The PM will collaborate cross functionally with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to lead the creation of new solutions from existing platforms and prioritize new technology and product development. based on industry experience as well as customer and market requirements.  

Additional focus of this role includes the support of products, customers, and the global sales team. The PM indeed will play a key role in developing commercial strategies for standard and customized products and directing the development of collaterals and tools for sales organization, channel partners, and customers. 




  • Manage the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) process and lead the development, management, and communication of the overall product strategy and roadmap
  • Conduct ongoing VOC surveys, product and technology reviews, market and competitive analysis.
  • Support the product development and stage-gate processes by identifying opportunities in new and existing markets, and related product requirements such as features, attributes.
  • Create collaterals such as white papers, training modules, videos, presentations for internal and external stakeholders and help them in applying content and learnings into their roles.
  • Play an active role in strengthening the lead pipeline, through traditional and digitals marketing campaigns, trade shows, fairs, and webinars. 
  • Maintain close contact with internal and external stakeholders to further our knowledge of product requirements, market trends, and advances in relevant technologies.
  • Support the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process in defining a rolling forecast per product family
  • Participate in sales funnel reviews and support in developing key account strategies.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to coordinate responses to customer problems, product issues, new opportunities or solution proposals.
  • Assist in the development of RFP/RFQ documents and stage gate reviews for new business opportunities
  • Prepare annual price recommendations to ensure attainment of revenue and margin targets.
  • Main KPI: product vitality, VA/VE, MQL generation, conversion rate, close ratio, pricing, product margin, forecast accuracy, and others as needed
  • Main processes: PLM, NPD, SIOP, Funnel management, VOC
  • Domestic and International Travel ~20%




  • BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a product management, product specialist, application engineering, marketing/sales of technical industrial products, or similar role, with experience in our target markets preferred
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in the strategic ownership and management of a product portfolio




  • MBA preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in global cross functional teams, with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams with or without a formal reporting relationship
  • Strong working knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to think strategically about product positioning, marketing, and technology development
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Digital savviness: CRM, PIM, marketing automation tools, website management.
