Database Software Developer – Co-op. Internship

 

AMETEK/United Electronic Industries (UEI) is a well-established global manufacturer of computer-based measurement and control (I/O) products using leading edge technology to support aerospace, private space launch, and simulation customers.  We are growing and working here offers high visibility in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.

 

We are looking to hire and mentor a co-op. student who may be interested in gaining experience as a Web Developer.  The position will report to the Software Engineering Manager and the intern will be exposed to work on projects for fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design.  This is a 6-month position starting in January 2024 through June 2024.

 

The  Database Software Developer Intern will gain hands-on experience by assisting our Hardware

Engineering Director in the following areas:     

 

·    Assist with the customization of the NetSuite system which is a type of software that organizations use to manage all day-to-day business activities such as accounting procurement, customer relationships, manufacturing, and supply              chain operations.

·    Work with various internal teams (e.g., Finance, Operations, and Sales) to provide support and customizations to satisfy their requirements.

·    Utilize Database Management and Programming Language experience to support the management and integration of business processes through this system.                                                                                          

 

Previous exposure and training in some of the following areas preferred:

 

·    Languages: JavaScript, Python, HTML/DHTML, XML, TypeScript

·    Databases: Administration, Advanced SQL

·    Operations Systems:  Windows

·    Office Tools:  MS Office 

 

 

Hourly Rate: $26-34 per hour, depending on experience.
