Job Description: 

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in all matters pertaining to finance and will also work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Development, HR, and other key stakeholders. This person will be responsible for improving processes and incorporating critical thinking skills to drive operational performance. The individual in this role will be responsible for supporting the Director of Finance and Finance Leadership on financial analysis, including the development of the annual operational budget, forecasting, monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, ad hoc reporting, targeted financial and operational analyses, and growth strategy evaluations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Support the development of the annual operating budget in coordination with functional leaders
  • Ensures financial information has been captured accurately
  • Conducts special financial and business-related studies and analyses in cooperation with other departments
  • Develops financial analyses and identifies emerging trends and issues
  • Provides financial and operational consultation and support
  • Assists in policy development to support change initiatives
  • Performs cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, rate of return calculations, cash flow analysis, and forecasting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • BS in Accounting or Finance; CMA, MBA preferred
  • 1 - 3 years of prior experience, with background in Financial Analysis and FP&A
  • Advanced Excel, Word & Power Point skills
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and associated planning tools
  • Advanced analytical and planning skills
  • Ability to multitask and balance several projects at once
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the Company
  • Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and data analysis

Previous experience at a manufacturing company preferred
