The Senior HR Manager - Germany is a full-time role, based in Meerbusch, Germany. The position will report directly to the Country Manager - Germany, and dotted line to the Corporate Director HR EMEAI.

 

Your job with us:

  • Be the business partner to the Country Manager and support the hiring, development and retention of key talents and key contributors.
  • Assist the Country Manager and wider management team to identify resource needs in the short and long term, aligned with growth plans for AMETEK Europe
  • Manage and harmonize the HR policies and processes across the Germany Business Units, ensuring standardization.
  • Coordinate projects and be a central point of contact for activities across the Germany Business Units. Ensure Corporate initiatives are rolled out within country.
  • Lead and implement all restructuring and/or mergers & acquisitions activities
  • Drive performance management, development and succession processes
  • Identify improvement opportunities and lead organizational development projects
  • Manage recruitment and recruitment processes and development of new recruiting strategies
  • Further develop and implement talent management and retention strategy to attract and keep talents
  • Roll out and maintain compensation programs, conduct salary reviews
  • Manage and ensure that payroll is done within the regular established timeframe
  • Oversee HR administration and reporting activities so that they are delivered cost effectively, accurately & on time.
  • Lead the local HR team (currently 2 direct reports) and contribute to HR projects across Europe
  • Ensure that all HR activities are in line with legislation, compliance, quality, policies, business requirements etc.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement and efficiencies. Ensure decisions are facts based and KPI driven
  • Promote and enhance the use of digital tools
  • Work closely with the European HR team to create and deliver appropriate processes to support business goals
  • Support global HR projects and activities as required and lead the local roll-out within Germany.

 

Your skills matter:

  • University degree, preferably HR related
  • Experienced in similar Senior HR roles for 7-10 years.
  • Expanded practical experience, preferably in a global multinational US company.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organization with the ability to influence through good interpersonal skills
  • Good working knowledge of German employment law and practices
  • Know-how in M&A activities
  • Willing to travel across the region to support the multiple sites of AMETEK Germany
  • Ability to challenge and also to motivate people, teams and organizations
  • Ability to inspire people and successfully guide them through the Germany HR specifics
  • Ability to create energy and urgency within the team to drive projects and goals to completion.
  • Strong negotiating skills, resilience, persuasiveness, and a self-confident manner
  • Strong communication skills in German and English; other languages an advantage
  • Proactive, team-oriented approach with creativity and flexibility to adapt to changes
  • Structured, pragmatic and result-oriented way of working
  • Confident user knowledge of MS Office (including Excel), SAP Success Factors an advantage.
  • Residence in Germany – close to site in Meerbusch, near Düsseldorf.
