Job Description: 

The Mechanical Engineer will work with mechanical, electronics, and applications engineering to create, develop, customize, validate and maintain mechanical and electromechanical designs incorporated into motor-driven dynamic fluid solutions.  The products must meet the needs of a demanding customer base who require industry-leading life, reliability, durability, and full-featured customization.

 

What you will do:

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering personnel to plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Plan and develop experimental test programs to validate performance meets the customer requirements
  • Apply basic engineering principles and analysis to resolve technical problems; perform development, design, and analysis of new products; provide design validation testing for new products; interpret design results and data; confer with other engineering personnel as to the validity of their work product
  • Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration
  • Provide product, process, and design analysis and direct support to customers and manufacturing plants for products
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test mechanical designs
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design processes
  • Ensure project timelines are met and the projects stay within budget

 

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field (Mechanical or in a related field) required
  • Firm grasp of engineering concepts
  • Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems
  • Experience using CAD Software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer specifications, scientific and technical journals, and agency specifications
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to confidently and effectively present to and interact with customers and management
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Demonstrated strong PC skills and excellent working knowledge of engineering principles

 

Additional characteristics:

  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time
