Job Description:
The IT Director is responsible for managing all organization technologies and providing technology support and training for the division. Primary duties include: analyzing systems and processes; maintaining workstations and networks; and designing, developing, and maintaining.
What you will do:
- Manage all aspects of business systems and information technology in the Division
- Work with the business unit management teams to develop and execute strategy including identifying the appropriate use of IT to improve the capabilities and performance of the Division
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all organizational standards
- Ensure the Division is adhering to all corporate information security standards and policies.
- Develop enterprise (multi-location) integration solutions
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows applications and systems.
- Manage Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Manage, develop and provide user support for Productcenter PDM
- Manage, develop and support ERP systems
- Manage the acquisition, installation and maintenance of the organization’s local area network hardware/software
- Manage network operations to include: troubleshooting connectivity problems; installing & maintaining routers; adding/terminating users; assigning rights and access; resetting passwords; establishing e-mail addresses; assessing and reporting operational status; performing backups and restores; etc.
- Ensure technology documents/certificates such as product registrations, SSL certificates, maintenance agreements, service contracts, etc. related to technology operations and/or technology services are evaluated, updated and processed
- Design, develop and maintain web-based applications including websites and intranets. Continuously improves the organization's website and Intranet; adds new functionality and improves user ability to maintain without technical support
- Provide technical supervision; completes technology staff performance reviews
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on hardware and software
- Analyze technology requirements and develop functional specifications; Conduct comparative analysis and competitive bidding when necessary
- Present and implement technological alternatives to streamline functions and improve productivity
- Develop and maintain technology policies, standards, and procedures manual; develops and maintains related technology checklists
- Responsible for troubleshooting workstations, networks, software applications, phones, copiers, and other technologies
- Manage technology inventory to include procurement and disposal
- Ensure compliance with all software licensing agreements; Manage and safeguard software media and associated licenses; track software versions
- Develop annual technology goals and plan for goal accomplishment.
- Create and maintain LAN/WAN maintenance diagrams.
- Responsible for the discovery, mitigation and documentation of information technology risks
- Ensure networks, workstations, operating systems, and software applications are operational; ensure hardware and software are patched and/or updated; ensure all analog and broadband circuits are operational in accordance with vendor specifications
- Ensure the availability, continuity, and security of data and information pertaining to the organization
- Manage and maximize the utilization of technology centers.
- Prepare, maintain and test a technology disaster recovery plan
- Participate on committees, task forces, workgroups, etc.; facilitate technology meetings and user groups
- Develop and manage technology budget and monitor and approve related expenditures
- Directly manage IT-related positions at multiple locations; responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area
- At least 10 years IT experience
- At least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Requires strong knowledge of Finance, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing and distribution
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and conduct multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong customer service, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to interface with suppliers and internal customers
- Knowledgeable in PC hardware and software, servers, LAN, voice, video, Internet, e-mail and manufacturing business applications
- Ability to manage a budget
