Position Summary

Under general direction of the Accounting Manager this position:  Provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services and properly records the transactions by posting receipts and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner

 

How You Will Do It

  • Sets up new customer accounts in the accounts receivable system; set up new cost codes in job cost accounting system
  • Manages invoicing cycle including preparing customer invoices, distributing review copies of invoices to project manager, and revising and sending out final customer invoices
  • Ensures that invoices are posted to the correct accounting period and that proper cost and billing codes, and general ledger accounts are used for all transactions
  • Processes accounts receivable transactions including credit and debit memos and customer statements
  • Monitors unbilled project costs and collaborates with the correct individuals to resolve billing issues
  • Ensuring that billing and account receivable issues are identified, researched and communicated, and resolved in a timely manner
  • Assists with customer receivables audit requests
  • Preparation of Month End AR Reconciliations
  • Prepares and distributes weekly Accounts Receivable Reports to management
  • Ensures that electronic and hard-copy customer and invoice files are properly maintained and archived
  • Proactively engaging with client for faster cash inflows
  • Assists with special or other projects as needed

Compensation

Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $60,000
Incentive:  No
