Job Description: 

As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to expand your professional skills within a growing, global S&P 500 company. You will supervise the Horsham, PA, Quality Assurance team. You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality control procedures are coordinated throughout the entire organization. Additionally, you will oversee the establishment of testing and inspection policies and procedures for maintaining a program that will meet the quality needs of the customers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and ensures completion of all material inspection and testing for both Mechanical and Electrical products.
  • Performs receiving inspection and testing, in-process inspection and testing, final inspection and testing, and product audits when required to augment the Inspection team.
  • Manages nonconforming material and aids in the MRB process.  Ensures timely action on dispositioned material.
  • Compiles, maintains, and distributes quality summary data for communication to management personnel.
  • Seeks ways to improve QA processes and testing techniques and equipment for both mechanical inspection equipment and electrical equipment.
  • Directly supervises employees in the departments assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 
  • Performs internal audits in support of company quality initiatives, and its ISO 9001 registration.
  • Participates as a team member or team leader in improvement team activities as related to operational excellence objectives.
  • Administers the calibration program ensuring timely calibration of all measuring and test equipment requiring calibration.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required.  Associate degree or greater preferred. 
  • Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) and/or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) preferred.
  • Minimum Years of Work Experience: 3-5 years’ inspection/QA experience.
  • Proven skill set to manage in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and ability to make timely decisions in step with the business strategic plans.
  • Experience inspecting mechanical parts using mechanical inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, thread gages etc.
  • Experience inspecting electronic products with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes and power supplies.
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 preferred.
  • Experience in creating inspection methods including programming Keyence IM machines preferred.
  • Experience with GAGEtrak or similar Calibration Database
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Developed organizational and follow-through skills
  • PC/computer literacy required/Oracle experience preferred helpful
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Self-Motivated Individual
  • Team Oriented Individual

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
