Job Description: 

The Sales Manager will be responsible for development and management of key accounts and sales channels in South Korea.  He/She will be held accountable for establishing monthly / annual sales targets for every channel partner and for actively managing the sales funnel and accurately forecasting orders on a weekly / monthly basis.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Develop sales strategies and objectives for the assigned territory in accordance with overall Company goals and objectives in order to achieve market share growth, and maximize sales revenue and profitability.
  • Knowledge in Power Testing, Test and Measurement, R&D, Automotive, Aerospace & MRO
  • Experience in precision test and measurement instrumentation, automated test systems and test & automation turnkey solutions 
  • Assure that channel-partners/distributors develop and optimize their focus to support the Company’s strategic business objectives and that factory assistance is provided to assure they have complete support in doing so.
  • Establish regular calls and engage actively with the distributors / identified accounts to ensure continual growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews with channel partners and provide regular status on each channel partner’s performance to plan along with updated revisions to sales and marketing strategies, territorial expansion, and other actions required in order to achieve and exceed projected targets.
  • Maintain and report a weekly opportunity funnel/forecast for the general business and specific larger project business in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain CRM/SF data for the assigned sales partners and customers for accurate and up-to-date information as key input to the Company’s SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) process.
  • Train and educate channel partners on the the Company’s products and provide the necessary objection handling and selling strategy assistance specific to an industry, market, or account.
  • Personally engage with key customers to develop strategic relationships for the Company and to maintain and increase market share and acquire new business.
  • Provide input to Product Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams to help direct the development of new products that reflect market trends and customer needs. 
  • Monitor and analyze historical sales to determine order frequency, product trends, and perceived product life cycles.

 

Competency Requirements

In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Good knowledge in the local market in South Korea for AC and DC programmable power supplies, electronic loads, Power Testing, Test and Measurement, , Automotive, Aerospace, R&D & MRO
  • Experience in precision test and measurement instrumentation, automated test systems and test & automation turnkey solutions
  • Knowledge in Defense is an advantage.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including ability to negotiate both internally and when customer-facing, on commercial and technical matters
  • Self-directed and independednt work ethic; action-oriented team player, ability to think strategically but be hands-on in tackling issues/topics at hand, measure and report progress against defined objectives
  • Detail oriented problem solving skills, objective approach to analysis and total business impact
  • Excellent written skills appropriate for documents suitable for publication
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal kilss and the highest level of business ethics
  • Fluent in Korean and English (written and spoken)

 

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

  • 5-7 years of experience, with at least 3 years as a B2B sales manager with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience in test and measurement preferred.
  • Programmable power supply experience.
  • Highly customer focused with customer service orientation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • International mindset and intercultural experience.
  • Ability to travel 50%, predominantly within South Korea.
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and database applications (namely Salesforce).

 

 

Education Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or other relevant techinica degree

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment with frequent travel within the assigned territory and occasionally to the factory. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
