Job Title:  Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will support the maintenance department with the strategic and tactical support of the operations at the Eighty Four Plant. Job activities will focus on both preventative and daily initiatives. Accountable to troubleshoot solutions a variety of mechanical and minor electrical issues. Collaborate with operators to determine root causes of problems as well as conduct some basic training of operators.

This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and has no direct reports.

In an assigned work area, performs the following tasks associated with the department strategies:

• Works safely and complies with all Company safety programs.

• Develop and carry out development improvement programs for equipment and machinery and processes.

• Responsible for accurate and timely repairs.

• Understand fully the processes behind each piece of equipment and be able to explain it to others.

• Form relationships with shop floor operators, Ametek management, and peers alike. Work closely and communicate with production to manage machine up-time.

• Assist and support bench marking activities related to a variety of functions within the industry. • Have a customer focus in terms of technical support, quality, and on time delivery.

• Other duties as assigned.
