Job Description: 

Job purpose

Your role is to support the Machine-Shop in ensuring that Machined Components are finished, checked, and signed off correctly.

You will ensure that components are manufactured to drawings specified, finalization processes are correctly followed, and the highest quality finish is achieved.

You will have exposure to CNC Machining operations along with Training, hand in hand with the relevant College course, to achieve the goal of Machine Operator.

You will be required to assist the business in ensuring compliance with all company Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives whilst maintaining a high level of personal 5S and housekeeping standards.


Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Correct finishing of products within agreed timescales.
  • Processing of Work Orders in line with the standard processes.
  • Integrate the link between Machine Shop & Production Control.
  • Support CI Projects to improve product flow through the business.
  • Flexibility to work between different functions and adapt when required.

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a desire to work in a Machine Shop/Production Environment
  • Work towards Level 3 NVQ/BTEC.
  • A high level of commitment, initiative, and self-motivation are essential in this role.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively both within the immediate team and beyond to other Departments.
