AMETEK Solidstate Controls (SCI) is in the business of providing continuity of electrical power to keep businesses in business.  SCI currently has systems installed throughout the world, including more than 100 countries and in Nuclear Power plants worldwide. Our products have extensive applications in the following market segments: petroleum, LNG, power – fossil & nuclear, specialty chemicals, mining/metals, wastewater, pulp & paper, food & beverage and others requiring continuous power for mission critical applications.


The Human Resources Intern is responsible for assisting with Human Resources processes and special projects.



Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service skills.  Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking, and work independently. proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Expert Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) with fast and accurate data entry skills.  Must be well organized, work well within a team and interacting with internal and external customers (proven customer relation skills), comfortable with handling time critical tasks, ability to learn human resources functions. 

 Education & Experience:


Currently pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Assist with recruiting/filling open positions:  Create/update job descriptions, create LinkedIn Project to search for candidates, screen resumes/applicants, schedule interviews with managers
  • Assist with resolving employee inquiries and issues with benefits and other employment matters
  • Assist with planning company events
  • Revise the onboarding & off boarding process complete with steps, forms (exit interview forms and process, Term EDF’s, etc)
  • Improve HR processes and procedures: HR Opex:  assist with updating HR policies and procedures move to HR SharePoint page
  • Assist creating and keeping New Hire Packet to HR SharePoint page, org charts, etc
  • All other duties as assigned.
