IT Systems Administrator
Plan, implement, oversee, and maintain server and network infrastructures and projects. Troubleshoot and provide technical support to employees. Ensure network environment is compliant with corporate policies and SOX requirements.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users, resulting in technology infrastructure that runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Accountabilities:

Install and configure software and hardware.

Provide support, inclusive of workstation, tablet, smartphone, network, audio/video, printer, camera/security systems and other client computing equipment and technologies.

Manage network servers and technology tools.

Set up accounts and workstations.
-
Monitor performance and maintain systems.
-
Escalate help desk tickets (both hardware and software) with 3rd party providers or corporate IT when necessary.

Maintain a secure environment compliant with corporate policies and SOX requirements.

Maintain backups.

Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
-
Develop expertise to train staff in new technologies.

Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.

Comply with all company policies when handing sensitive, confidential, and intellectual property information.

Monitor industry activities and identify and recommend potential solutions.

Communicate effectively and timely with staff on IT changes and impact.
Qualifications
-
Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing as well as VPN.

Experience with Virtualization (VMWare preferred)

Experience with backup / DR technologies (VEEAM / Barracuda preferred)

Experience with patch management.

Experience setting up and maintaining switches.

Experience in a manufacturing setting.

Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

Excellent communication skills.

Associate degree in computer science, or related field of study/equivalent work experience required. BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
