Job Description:
AMETEK Brookfield is looking for a Lab Intern reporting to the Lab Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards for quality and performance for both our Computrac® Moisture Analyzers and Brookfield Viscometers. The position requires a basic understanding of chemistry and analytical methods.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Perform standard reference testing in accordance with existing customer reference methods (such as standard oven, vacuum oven, muffle furnace, karl-fischer titration).
- Issue Sample ID’s and guidelines
- Review SDS for safety
- Developed test methods for existing and prospective customers using Computrac instruments.
- Reported findings in accordance with good lab practice standards, Statistical analysis using Excel.
- Work with sales & service team to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with internal testing and engineering, operation validation.
- Performed daily tasks in accordance with good manufacturing practices.
Experience:
- Knowledge of bench analyzers or equivalent experience
- Ability to work well with teammates.
- Communication skills both orally and written.
- Follow test procedures.
- How to maintain and operate instrumentation.
- Create sample reports.
