The Senior Human Resources Generalist will have the HR responsibility for global Chandler Engineering operations in Broken Arrow, OK, and will also have oversight of employees in Houston, TX and in Albany, NY and for AMETEK Petrolab. The Sr. HR Generalist will work with other Business Unit and Divisional HR staff to drive HR strategy and compliance and will need to find top talent, retain talent, engage talent, and implement best-in-class HR practices.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the HR function for the Chandler Engineering Site in Broken Arrow, OK. May be asked to assist with other locations of the E&PI Business Unit.
  • Work closely with other HR colleagues within AMETEK on various business activities.
  • Must take a strategic HR approach to the business but will operate with a “roll up the sleeves” generalist mentality to daily challenges and tasks.
  • Coach and develop leaders in the organization and be a sounding board for the Chandler Business Manager.
  • Coach, counsel and advise management on a variety of HR related business and employee relation issues.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and diversity outreach programs.
  • Partner with EHS/Safety Committee on safety initiatives and compliance training.
  • Will ensure consistent and fair treatment of employees throughout the business.
  • Take the lead with workforce investigations, and necessary improved performance actions, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct annual talent reviews, participate in compensation audits of the workforce, will take the lead to create coaching and leadership programs for key talent, and facilitate the top grading of individuals who are not performing up to adequate standards for the business.
  • Review/approve staffing requirements for AMETEK Chandler Engineering Business.
  • Maintain the monthly headcount for the Chandler Engineering Business and liaison with the site business controller and HR BU leader on monthly headcount projections.
  • Conduct performance review tracking, cyber security training tracking, initiate payroll data changes, and maintain records.
  • Will have responsibility for recruiting positions at the local site level and will work with a divisional recruiter for on more challenging recruiting objectives.
  • Design and implement leadership development programs.
  • Provide input to AMETEK Chandler Engineering & E&PI BU strategic direction.
  • Other duties include onboarding, benefit consultation, spearheading employee social and community-based functions, handling insurance certificates, managing petty cash, and managing building security access.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the Chandler Engineering Business Manager, and the HR Leader for the Business Unit.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or other related discipline
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience with evidence of increase responsibility in an organization
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coach others to understand and improve their emotional intelligence
  • Must have the ability to liaison with, and influence managers and leaders throughout AMETEK
  • Ability to manage an HR function in a global environment
  • Ability to implement strategic programs to advance business objectives
  • Must be a self-starter with a bias for action
  • Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 10% on an annual basis 
  • Experience with Human Resources tools such as SuccessFactors, ADP Report processing, LinkedIn Recruiter, along with  and international HR experience is a plus.
