Reporting to the Division Vice President of IT, the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Analyst is responsible for the efficient and effective use of the ERP systems within AMETEK’s business units and will play a crucial role in helping organizations streamline their operations, improve efficiency, and make data-driven decisions.
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled ERP Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ERP Analyst will be responsible for advanced-level support, system optimization, and assisting with the development and implementation of ERP solutions. This role requires deep expertise in ERP systems and a demonstrated ability to tackle complex issues and drive system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
System Implementation:

Play a critical role in the initial implementation of ERP systems.

Work closely with vendors, project managers, and the businesses functional leaders to plan and execute the deployment of ERP software.
ERP System Configuration, Maintenance, and Optimization:

Identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization.

Lead advanced system configurations, customizations, and integrations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
Advanced Troubleshooting:

Provide expert-level support to resolve complex ERP system issues.

Investigate and diagnose system errors, working closely with IT teams and vendors when necessary.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for troubleshooting.
Customization and Development:

Design, develop, and test custom ERP solutions to meet specific business requirements.

Work with developers to create and implement ERP enhancements.

Ensure that customizations are properly documented and aligned with best practices.
Data Analytics and Reporting:

Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract insights from ERP data.

Create and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and data visualization tools.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver meaningful data-driven insights.
User Training and Mentorship:

Conduct advanced training sessions for end-users.

Serve as a mentor to junior analysts, providing guidance and expertise.

Ensure that users are proficient in utilizing advanced ERP features.
Compliance:

Ensure that the ERP systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience (5+ years) as an ERP Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on advanced ERP support and customization.

Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

In-depth knowledge of business processes and ERP best practices.

Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.

Certification in relevant ERP systems is highly desirable.

Approximately 25% travel possible, to include international sites.

Due to contracts with the United States Government, the candidate must be either a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
