Job Description: 

The Production Analyst will utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to plan and execute purchase orders. This person will work closely with corporate global trade and logistics to update and maintain required compliance code in ERP system for all parts. This person will also work closely with suppliers and internal teams to update required data and communicate optimally. They will locate, evaluate and select suppliers and potential suppliers to gain the best quality, cost and delivery of purchased material consistent with required standards.  



  • Understands and communicates component specifications to suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data and establish facts (i.e. Review procurement history and usage to settle safety stocks).
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently towards defined goals, maintain procurement goals at highest level.
  • Strong customer service focus to improve happiness, demonstrate judgment, tact, and subtlety in taking care of internal and external customers.
  • Plans and prepares production schedules for manufacture of more sophisticated models of industrial or commercial products:
  • Prepares timeline to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data of larger departments and work centers to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
  • Plans and schedules workflow for production operations and departments according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
  • Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects and special orders.
  • Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Prepares production reports and either report out during daily production meeting or act as backup in that role when needed.
  • Track non-conformance reports for timely resolution.  Identify roadblocks preventing NCR closure and lead efforts to overcome.
  • Proactively identify material shortages and work with Inventory Control to evaluate and correct stocking levels.
  • Act as PC Department Lead when Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Participate on and lead Continuous Improvement teams. 
  • Attention to detail is a must. 



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • 6-8 years’ experience in purchasing or material/production planning and scheduling.
