Job Title : Senior IT Manager - Corporate

Main Purpose:

Develop and implement IT service and support AMETEK’s global Information Technology team and services in India. This includes the management of locally based IT resources, outsourced contractors, systems and project/programme management. Act as primary advocate for leveraging Indian based resources throughout Ametek as well as integrating these resources with existing business IT teams.

Key Tasks:

• Mentor IT team members to become more effective through coaching, feedback, managing expectations, challenges and recognition.
• Assist BU’s to identify resourcing opportunities to support IT activities and projects.
• Effectively manage hosted IT activity including outsourcers and contractors.
• Establish a network of IT service partners in India – review and control existing relationships.
• Ensure on-time and on-budget execution of Strategic projects
• Promote Ametek IT standards relating to activities and products.
• Assist Ametek BU’s with make v buy decisions and specification of services, components and systems related to India suppliers and contractors.
• Create an environment that supports collaboration and enhances performance, engagement, adaptability and flexibility.
• Ensure the organization is able to identify, attract and retain IT talent.
• Ensure that IT employees at all levels possess the knowledge, skills & attributes to be successful.
• Implement project management disciplines and communication/reporting processes to ensure integration with BU activity and that performance expectations have been met.
• Ensure compliance with Ametek policies, procedures, rules and laws.
• Produce annual plan & budget. Report on activity on a periodic basis

Key Attributes

• Minimum of 15+ years experience in IT with more than 5 years at manager level
• Should have managed a team of at least 50 people
• Experience in handling complex, decentralized and centralized business environment
• Bachelors degree in related technical field (i.e. Engineering or Computer Science)
• Masters degree in business or an IT discipline desirable.
• Significant experience driving IT projects – specifically with regards to ERP systems
• Experience managing a decentralized and varied IT infrastructure.
• Experience with manufacturing companies and related supply chain.
• Ability to work in complex, highly matrixed environment, with remote Corporate IT policy guidance and direction.
• Must be fluent English with good written and oral communication ability – confident presenter.
• Worked for global, multi national organisation, preferably USA owned.
• Requirement to attend meetings, conferences, site visits and inspections in India and globally.
• Work to flexible time schedule including hours of work
